Amy McClure, Board member at Lunenburg County Public Schools, is a lifelong resident of Lunenburg County and a 1997 graduate of Central of Lunenburg. Mrs. McClure earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Longwood University in Educational Leadership. In recent years she taught advanced mathematics courses at the Governor’s School of Southside Virginia and served as an adjunct faculty member at Southside Virginia Community College, teaching the Teachers for Tomorrow course as well as additional math classes. Additionally, she is currently the Coordinator of Federal Programs for Prince Edward County Public Schools. The reason why Amy ran for the school board is she enjoys serving the public school system. When making decisions I look through a variety of lenses: parent lens, teacher lens, and school division administrator. When Amy is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband Corey and their two daughters, Aubrey and Ally.
