Karen Jenkins was elected to the Suffolk City School Board in 2019 and re-elected for her second term in 2022. Karen not only serves on the School Board, she volunteers in many of the schools in her school division and donates school supplies and other needed items to schools in her borough all year. She has served as Region II vice chair and is now serving as the chair.
Karen has a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Community Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Norfolk State University. She is a school and family therapist. Karen and her husband, Delegate Clinton Jenkins are lifelong residents of Suffolk, VA. Both are products of Suffolk City Public Schools as well as their 3 daughters and now their grandchildren.
